🧘 The Two Techniques

Hola everyone,

Have you ever tried to meditate before, but you find it difficult to sit still?

Or do you find it difficult to notice any benefits?

Or do you find it difficult to remain consistent?

Or this or that?

Meditation is normally very difficult for the first few months - even years.

Finding stillness and learning to step back into its clarity, can feel impossible.

So, today, I will share two meditation techniques that took my meditation practice to the next level.

When I started meditating, I would sit for 30 minutes with my eyes closed. And it was not easy.

But no matter what, I would wake up and sit for 30 minutes unmoving.

Most of the time it was excruciating, but slowly I noticed the difference. And it got to the point that every three weeks I was changing rapidly within.

An old belief of mine would be replaced with a new Universal understanding.

What I used to think was real would be replaced with Universal truths.

This started happening straight away, even when the meditations were very challenging. They felt useless when I sat, but the benefits became clear throughout my day.

The main change is how I experience life and my role in it.

Understanding how to handle emotions and ideas without becoming entangled in them - that is the biggest benefit meditation will give you.

Anyways.. Here are the two techniques you may find helpful:

  1. Sit with your closed, focused between your eyebrows. Breathe in and out through your nose only. Drop your awareness into your heart and notice how it feels. Just relax and pay attention to your heart.

  2. Sit with your closed, focused between your eyebrows. Breathe in and out through your nose only. Once you are comfortable, extend your exhale for three full breaths. Take one inhale, then exhale for three (only through the nose). See if you notice your chest and abdomen empty out and relax.

Give those a try and see if it helps when you sit to meditate.

Have a great week,

Weekly Poem:

Meditations of our Universal Nature

The fire in my eyes is the fire in yours

Transcending physicality I am no more

A grain of sand in this Cosmic Play

I will show you the light if you walk this way

What a fool I was, grasping names and labels

All of them empty like the temporary soap bubble

You and I are one of the same

Trapped in the illusion of this Cosmic Game
